Rainbow Pool

Written by Admin. Posted in Fishery

One of the smaller lakes at the fishery Rainbow Pool at just over 1 acre is a delightful little water and will be developed as a day fishery to offer a perfect days fishing for tench bream and silver fish on the float. Set in a wooded copse views from around this lake can be stunning as the sun sets.

With depths of around 4-12 feet and with a very conspicuous and sizable gravel mound in its centre the fishery was known to produce good catches of tench as well as bream in the past and was home to some carp to low twenties. Low overhanging branches, and patches of lily and pond weed make this an ideal water for float fishing the margins or stalking a wary carp and compliments the intimate feel we hope to provide on all of the lakes at Wensum Fisheries.

Senstive stocking with tench and silver fish will be our approach on this lake and will provide anglers with a quiet retreat in the heart of the Wensum valley.
